February already….  I’m sure ready for Spring and some warm weather!  Hope your 2008 is going great so far.

As for the PTA, we have some great things coming up:  the Valentines Party (the kiddos are so cute giving out their Valentines…), Casa Manana gets going again with Junie B Jones and how about some swimming anyone.  Thanks again to Cyrena to planning all of our great activities.  Hope to see many of you out this month even if it is cold….

January was great and COLD.  Several braved the weather to do the Texas Stadium Tour and the Stock Show Tour.  Our speaker on Early Childhood reading was very informative and those who missed it please watch the files section of the Yahoo Group for her handout.

Going into Spring, it is already time to start planning for next year.  At our February meeting we will elect the 2008 Nominating Committee.  The Nominating Committee will put together the slate of officers for the 2008-2009 PTA year.  Anyone who is interested in serving on Nominating please let me know or make sure to attend the February General Meeting.  Also, now is the time to start thinking about what position you might be interested in for next year.  There is a spot for everyone with a lot or little time to invest.  It is also the best way to really get to know everyone and make close friends.

Thanks again to everyone and all your hard work – we’re just over half-way and are having a great year.
